Website and Vocabulary Playground: no account, nothing saved

On this website and in the Vocabulary Playground, we do not create accounts and we do not save what you practise. You can learn words, listen to pronunciation and leave without a trace of your session being kept.

This page describes the website. The EnglishMate app saves your learning history in your account so you can review it; the details are in the app section of our Privacy Policy

How the Website Works

When you use the website and the Vocabulary Playground:

  • No account or sign-in is needed
  • No practice history is saved after you leave the page
  • Word audio is generated on request and contains nothing about you
  • If you send the contact form or join the launch waitlist, we keep your email address only for that purpose
  • Standard server logs and Google Analytics record technical data such as IP address and pages visited

What the EnglishMate App Stores

The app is different, because its purpose is to let you review your progress. It saves your conversation text, corrections and word progress in your account. It does not store recordings of your voice: speech is processed in real time to produce the reply and then discarded. You can delete any conversation, or your whole account and its data, from inside the app.

Third-Party Services

EnglishMate relies on hosting, content delivery, analytics and AI providers to run. Each receives only what it needs for its task. They are listed in the Privacy Policy.

What This Means for You

In short:

  • You can use the website freely without your practice being saved
  • In the app, your history exists for you alone and you can delete it at any time
  • Your conversations and voice are never used to train AI models and are never sold
